This page informs you of our policies regarding the use of the Job Passion Assessment™, also known as the Job Passion Type Indicator™ (JPTI™) Assessment.
Use Intent
The Job Passion Type Indicator™ (JPTI™) is a professional self-assessment tool designed to help individuals and organizations better understand intrinsic work-related preferences. It identifies the types of job functions and workflow processes a person is most naturally energized by; referred to as “Job Passion Types™.” These insights are intended to support career fulfillment, team alignment, role engagement, and workplace satisfaction.
When used in the context of hiring, promotion, or internal mobility decisions, the JPTI™ is to be applied as a supplementary tool only. It should never be used as a stand-alone determinant for employment selection or advancement. Rather, it serves as one data point among many (alongside qualifications, experience, interviews, and skills assessments) to promote optimal alignment between a candidate’s core work interests and the primary functions of a given role.
The JPT™I does not assess personality, mental health, cognitive ability, or protected characteristics such as age, race, gender, religion, or disability. It has been developed with a specific emphasis on job function alignment and does not make value judgments about an individual’s suitability or capability.
All information provided through the JPTI™ is confidential and used exclusively for the stated purpose of supporting better-fit employment and advancement decisions. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals who request alternate means of assessment or support under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or equivalent employment standards legislation in Canada and other jurisdictions.
The JPTI™ complies with all relevant employment assessment guidelines, including:
- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures;
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA);
- The Canadian Human Rights Act and applicable provincial regulations;
- And other relevant employment laws governing fairness, non-discrimination, and ethical hiring practices.
Use of this tool is predicated on the understanding that its purpose is to enhance, not restrict, an individual’s opportunity to thrive in roles that match their natural preferences. Employers are responsible for ensuring that no aspect of the assessment process introduces bias, creates disparate impact, or leads to unlawful discrimination.
Data collected by the use of this assessment is governed by our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
